ABOUT HUGO & GAELLE

Hugo Latiff is a Brazilian dancer and teacher from Rio de Janeiro with experience in all Brazilian dances: Brazilian zouk and samba de gafieira (his specialties), forro, bolero, soltinho and salsa. He studied dance since the age of 13 and studied Brazilian Zouk more specifically at Renata Peçanha’s school for two years, six days a week, before continuing on his own path. He taught lessons and workshops in Rio before he travelled to Europe.

Gaëlle Latiff is his partner in dance and in life. She is from Paris and has taught pole dancing in Helsinki for many years. She has experience in circus arts as well as in Brazilian zouk, kizomba, salsa and other solo dances such as oriental dancing, lyrical jazz and twerk. She lived in Rio de Janeiro for two years, deepening her knowledge of Brazilian zouk at Renata Peçanha’s school and experiencing the local zouk scene as well as the Brazilian culture.
